After experiencing the benefits of massage therapy first hand on a sore shoulder as a teenager, I realized that positively affecting others through massage was exactly what wanted to do. So, upon graduating from highschool, my life took me to Sir Sandford Fleming College where I spent three years in the Massage Therapy Program. While in school, I had the opportunity to gain experience with many clients ranging from prenatal appointments, to elderly clients, injuries and surgery rehabs. My interest lies within making a positive difference in everyone's lives, no matter the situation. My passion for horses has been strong since a very young age. It began as a toddler while being given pony rides on a friend's horse, then sprouted into riding lessons at age ten, and eventually owning my own horse. As an adolescent I spent my summers riding and competing at hunter/jumper shows with my horse at the time, Eddy. I continued riding throughout college and still own a horse, Rorie, whom I spend many hours with a the the barn. I would love to treat fellow riders as I understand the toll that our animals can take on our bodies! I plan to become certified in equine massage to improve the condition and performance of horses. I grew up in, and still reside in Courtice Ontario with my family and our two dogs. I am happy to be here in Brooklin, not far from home. I am very excited to begin my career at Peak Health and Wellness where I can work within a multidisciplinary team. To Book an appointment with Alison, call Peak Health and Wellness 905-425-2448.
